The Brazil Angola Economic Forum took place on 08/25/2023 in the city of Luanda/Angola, where the meeting took place between the presidents of Angola and Brazil, the Honorable President, Mr. João Gonçalves Lourenço and the Honorable President, Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. São Paulo, September 11, 2023 - Sonangol Distribution and Commercialization Business Unit, one of the main companies in the oil and gas sector in Angola, strengthened its institutional capacity on a strategic visit to Brazil. The visit was promoted in collaboration with the representation of the Angolan company Welwil Transport Oil & Gás Ltda, in the State of São Paulo.
SONANGOL DISTRIBUTION AND SALES BUSINESS UNIT STRENGTHENS TIES WITH BRAZIL
The strategic approach occurred due to the solid partnership between Sonangol and the Ultra/Ipiranga Group, a leading Brazilian company in the oil and gas, refining, distribution and commercialization sectors, which contributes approximately 20% of the Brazilian Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The Sonangol delegation was led by Dr. Ana do Carmo and had the support of Director José Baltazar of the B2C area, as well as members of the marketing, B2B and retail departments. During the visit, important partnerships were concluded that had long been expected in the context of the internationalization of Sonangol and its partners.
This initiative represents a significant milestone in the expansion of Sonangol operations in Brazil and further strengthens ties between the two companies. Sonangol is committed to contributing to the sustainable growth of the oil and gas sector in Brazil and Angola, providing mutual benefits for both nations.
SONANGOL DELEGATION IS RECEIVED BY THE REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTOR OF WELWIL BRASIL/MERCOSUL IN SÃO PAULO
São Paulo, September 11, 2023 - As part of the agenda for the visit to Brazil, the Sonangol delegation was warmly received by the Representative Director of Welwil Transport Oil & Gás Ltda in Brazil and Mercosur, Dr. Albert Antonio. The meeting took place in the city of São Paulo and marked an important step in the strategic rapprochement between the companies.
Dr. Albert Antônio began the meeting with a cordial greeting, welcoming the Angolan delegation. Afterwards, he gave a brief presentation on the objectives of the visit and the strategy for bringing the companies closer together, aiming for business success over the next 10 years, both in Angola and Brazil.

ANGOLAN DELEGATION IS RECEIVED BY THE CONSUL GENERAL OF ANGOLA IN SÃO PAULO
São Paulo, September 11, 2023 - Following the scheduled visit to Brazil, the Sonangol delegation was warmly received by the Consul General of Angola in São Paulo, the Excellency, Dr. Stela Santiago, together with the Vice Consul, Dr. António Pine. The meeting took place at the official residence of the Consul General and was marked by gestures of hospitality and gratitude.
The Consul General, Her Excellency Dr. Stela Santiago, in her capacity as diplomatic representative of Angola, expressed her gratitude for Sonangol visit to Brazil, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation in the scope of economic and commercial diplomacy between the two countries and companies in the oil sector. She emphasized the potential of this collaboration to generate jobs and increase internal revenue in Angola.
During the meeting, some topics were discussed, including the promotion of bilateral trade, foreign investments and the sharing of experiences in the energy sector. Ambassador Stela expressed her support for cooperation initiatives that can strengthen economic ties between Angola and Brazil and benefit both countries.
